BUSINESS EXPLAINER VIDEOS
We pour our heart and creativity into every business explainer video we create. The following videos have a bit of a special place as we created something new in each…one has a new style that became integrated into the brand itself…another has a mundane process that we forged a visually exciting video…and one has a sensitive subject, yet we made it jump off the screen and touch the viewer.
Thank you to LexisNexis, ImagineLa, Ben and Jerry’s and the others for allowing us to create.
One of the best places to start your project is with our creative brief: RipMediaGroup.com/creative-brief
Ben and Jerry’s: "Back to the Mooture!"
Ben & Jerry's is one of the most loved home-grown American brands of the last 40 years. Two friends from Vermont not only revolutionized the ice-cream business with their outrageous flavors, but changed the idea of what a business could be: they proved a company could work for environmental protection and social justice, while building a worldwide brand.
Every year, people flock to the Ben & Jerry's factory in Waterbury, Vermont, to tour the facility, and see for themselves just how the magic is put into their ice-cream. Part of the factory tour is viewing a short film that encapsulates Ben & Jerry's nearly half century history.
Rip Media Group was commissioned by Ben & Jerry's and their agency-of-record, Mekanism, to produce the new animated tour video that will be playing at the Factory. Woody, the famous Ben & Jerry's mascot, takes us on a time-traveling trip through history, showing us all of the moments that made Ben & Jerry's the wonderful company it is today. We were extremely proud to make this character animation for one of our favorite brands and we hope you'll enjoy the ride through time with one (or two) of your favorite Ben & Jerry scoops!

NetApp: "Office Turtle Transformation"
Produced by: RipMediaGroup.com
NetApp (netapp.com) a world-class data storage and management corporation, came to Rip Media Group to help them design and build an innovative new ergonomic training and education station which includes several videos that will be deployed in dozens of their officies worldwide.
This first phase of the project entailed designing an interactive interface to help guide employees through the hand-drawn animation video series - enabling users to get to where they want quickly and with style. Additionally, we were tasked to produce a short video that presented the many ergonomic issues facing today's modern office worker.
Rip Media put their most experienced producer on the project who immediately went to work. With our team of talented artists, we created a futuristic city that served to guide the user effortlessly and with a sense of fun. Then, our team got to work writing, deisgning and animating a colorful world of the future. In this world we reveal the simple way each of us can remain healthier throughout our workday.
The launch of their flagship installation went off without a hitch and received universal praise for both concept and execution. As a result of this resounding success, NetApp has placed orders for 2 more series of animated videos to be produced soon.

Neoteryx: "At Home Sampling"

Neoteryx (neoteryx.com) came to Rip Media Group asking us to create a new kind of whiteboard animation video for them. They wanted us to show the more human side of their blood sampling technology and how what they make can have a significantly positive impact on people's lives and lifestyles.
So we decided to go with a more personal approach, focusing on three of the main convenience benefits of their microsampling device. We created three vignettes, each one having a voice of its own.
The stories were well received by their team and we succeeded in creating a short video that shows the benefits that can be gained using their device - freedom, peace of mind and mobile convenience - in a much more personal and humanistic way.

CalAmp IOT: “The New How”
Produced by: RipMediaGroup.com We were approached by CalAmp (http://www.CalAmp.com) who had a beautiful design for their Mobile World Congress booth - and needed four new videos to showcase at their booth on a huge, 4K screen and other HD screens throughout. The videos also had to have legs after the show, to live on their website and in other marketing materials. They wanted to use live-action video to show a wide range of services and locations their telematics platform thrived. Due to budget and time constraints, we suggested 4K stock footage, which gave us the diversity they seek at a price they could afford. We then searched through thousands of stock clips, looking for just the right pieces that would help create a compelling, informative and entertaining narrative. We then recorded the voice over, found suitable music tracks and delivered. The videos looked amazing scattered throughout their beautiful booth. In the end, we delivered two versions of each video - one at 4K without a voiceover track to be used during the trade show, and one at HD to live on their website with a VO narrative and music to keep it moving. In this video, we show how their technology connects to the "Industrial Internet of Machines" - THE CONNECTED IIoM

Lucky The Penguin: "Lucky's New Foot"
Dinsmore, Inc. (dinsmoreinc.com) is a design and development company specializing in 3D modeling and printing. They approached Rip Media Group to help showcase what they did for Lucky the Penguin at the Santa Barbara Zoo in Santa Barbara, California. You see, Lucky was born without a foot. The zoo tried several attempts to create and fit an artificial foot so Lucky could live a normal, active penguin life. But all attempts failed.
Dinsmore immersed itself in the life of a penguin and fashioned a polymer boot to affix to Lucky so he could thrive in his natural habitat. And Rip Media group was there to document it. Combining live action with our own 3D art, Rip Media Group created this video to show Lucky's transformation into an active, happy penguin (and father).
The editing process also featured dynamic music that fit the upbeat tone of Lucky's story, as well as fun and engaging text graphics. In the end, Dinsmore was elated how the videos showcased their incredible cutting-edge technology, and the Santa Barbara Zoo was excited about how visitors could learn how one penguin received so much love and attention to make his life normal.
