Coherus Bioscience: "Biosimilar and Biologics"
Produced by: RipMediaGroup.com
Coherus BioSciences (coherus.com) is the leading biologics platform company solely focused on delivering high-quality biosimilar therapeutics that will expand patient access to life-changing medicines in regulated markets worldwide.
For this video, Coherus asked the Rip Media team to create a 3D video to explain biosimilar medications. Many medical providers often focus on the difference between generic medications (ie: those medications that are made chemically in a lab) versus biologic medications (ie: those medications that are made of living cells and organisms). This video focuses on biosimilars: those medications that are similar to biologics, made of living organisms. Biosimilars are FDA-approved medications that possess the same level of effectiveness and are proven to have "no clinically meaningful differences" to their biologic counterparts. Ultimately, though, biosimilars are different in one area: cost. They save money for doctors, patients, and medical providers. This video focuses largely on biologic medicines and biosimilars.

Kaiser Permanente: "One Riverside"
Produced by: RipMediaGroup.com
Kaiser Permanente (healthy.kaiserpermanente.org) approached Rip Media Group looking for a hand-drawn whiteboard animation video that would help bring the message of their corporate culture to the One Riverside Group.
The culture of Kaiser Permanente is unique, positive and growing and they wanted to bring that message to the rest of their group in Riverside county.
Rip Media put their most experienced producer on the project, and working with the team at Kaiser, we wrote a script and designed the animation to accomplish this task. Once the art was created, we brought their vision to life in the animation and polished the story with some subtle but masterful sound design.
The team at Kaiser Permanente Riverside was thrilled by the animated story and execution and immediately went to work spreading the story throughout their organization.

ImPatient Science: "Commit To Love"
The Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation (drsusanloveresearch.org) approached us with a problem - they needed help reaching out to the Hispanic, Asian-American and African-American communities to help get them more involved in breast cancer research. It turns out that those three groups of women are not as well represented in the research studies as others, and as a result, it creates additional challenges for that community and the doctors that treat them. So we invited 3 different women, all with breast cancer, from their respective communities to tell a personal story and offer a personal plea to help get more women involved in research studies. In one emotional afternoon, we captured their stories and set about editing them down into bite-sized chunks. All four videos were very well received by the Foundation and are set to launch with this year's Breast Cancer Awareness Drive (October 2017). We are hoping these short videos play an outsized role in the spreading of awareness of the disease and helping the respective communities become more fully engaged in helping doctors and other researchers eliminate breast cancer in our lifetime. The National Center for PTSD approached MUSA and Rip Media about creating a series of animated videos for their series on PTSD, which includes information on evidence-based treatments as well as medications for PTSD.

Neoteryx: "At Home Sampling"
Produced by: ripmediagroup.info/
Neoteryx (neoteryx.com) came to Rip Media Group asking us to create a new kind of whiteboard animation video for them. They wanted us to show the more human side of their blood sampling technology and how what they make can have a significantly positive impact on people's lives and lifestyles.
So we decided to go with a more personal approach, focusing on three of the main convenience benefits of their microsampling device. We created three vignettes, each one having a voice of its own.
The stories were well received by their team and we succeeded in creating a short video that shows the benefits that can be gained using their device - freedom, peace of mind and mobile convenience - in a much more personal and humanistic way.

Lucky The Penguin: "Lucky's New Foot"
Dinsmore, Inc. (dinsmoreinc.com) is a design and development company specializing in 3D modeling and printing. They approached Rip Media Group to help showcase what they did for Lucky the Penguin at the Santa Barbara Zoo in Santa Barbara, California. You see, Lucky was born without a foot. The zoo tried several attempts to create and fit an artificial foot so Lucky could live a normal, active penguin life. But all attempts failed.
Dinsmore immersed itself in the life of a penguin and fashioned a polymer boot to affix to Lucky so he could thrive in his natural habitat. And Rip Media group was there to document it. Combining live action with our own 3D art, Rip Media Group created this video to show Lucky's transformation into an active, happy penguin (and father).
The editing process also featured dynamic music that fit the upbeat tone of Lucky's story, as well as fun and engaging text graphics. In the end, Dinsmore was elated how the videos showcased their incredible cutting-edge technology, and the Santa Barbara Zoo was excited about how visitors could learn how one penguin received so much love and attention to make his life normal.
Cedars Sinai: "Virtual Services"
Cedars-Sinai is rolling out their new virtual services for all their patients and staff members to give everyone better, faster and more accurate information about not just their health and their health care, but the whole experience of doing business with Cedars-Sinai.
The goal was to provide staff an easy-to-watch, compelling story about where they are going with their virtual services strategy, and how they will execute their vision. They wanted it to give the staff a glimpse of what is to come with the great features and benefits for their patients.
In the end, we delivered a 5 minute video that moves quickly, touches on all their important features and delighted the entire staff.

Care Innovations: "Health Harmony"
Care Innovations approached Rip Media Group with an old live action video that they needed to update with new information and animation.
What we did was first re-write the script and re-edit the old video onto the new updated script, this left us with various high-level portions of our narration that needed supplemental imagery, so we designed 3D animated vector art to fill the gaps. We also used their existing visual effects project files to update logo elements, change wording and re-create various scenes. For example towards the end there is a scene with full circle care, where previously it had three characters, but we added another character and re-created their old animation.
In the end Care Innovations was so proud of this re-edit that, they gifted two additional versions of this video to two of their partners. They also came back to work on 5 more videos with us! Thanks Care Innovations. We love helping you tell your story.

National Institute of Health: “How-To-Apply”
Produced by: ripmediagroup.info/
ORIP (Office of Research Infrastructure Programs) is a division of the National Institute of Health (orip.nih.gov) and came to us with a problem. They have several programs where they provide grant money to early-stage small businesses in the life sciences and many of the people who could benefit from their programs had no knowledge of the programs.
So as part of their outreach efforts, they commissioned us to create some videos that would help get the message out there, in a fun and friendly way, that gives potential applicants an idea of the program is all about and where they can get some details on how to apply.
The second video in this series, Rip Media Group worked with their team to boil down the essence of their complex message into the basics, and helped them tell that story through animation.
The videos were very well received, and we plan on helping the NIH and ORIP in their outreach efforts in the future.

The Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation strives to end breast cancer in our lifetime and we want to do everything in our power to help.
The nonprofit came to Rip Media with the goal of producing a series of videos that explains, in easy-to-understand terms, what breast cancer is, how it effects the body and what treatment options are available. It starts with a broad overview, then dives in deeper. This message needed to be delivered in a warm and supportive way that does not whitewash the seriousness of the disease.
We are proud to be able to support such a worthy organization and help them get the word out to as many people as they can.
